‘HIS follows a model of
sustainable development, with a goal of building and operating financially independent
Christian schools internationally. At the School of Promise, approximately half
of the students are particularly vulnerable to poverty and various forms of
oppression, such as human trafficking. Through excellent education rooted in the
Gospel, HIS provides each student the Hope and Future God has designed for
them.’
The blog of Josh, a friend I made in Chiang Mai, who has travelled
the surrounding countries as research into human trafficking. Is currently
looking to set up an organization focusing on stopping trafficking and aiding
other organisations who are doing the same thing.
Amy Rambikur, 2nd grade teacher at the School of
Promise. She is from Rhode Island and has been in Thailand for around three
years, and is leaving soon to get married and move to South Africa!
Emily Lenberg, 3rd and 4th grade teacher at
the school of Promise. She is from New Mexico and has been in Thailand for
around three years. She is the teacher most fluent in Thai; when we want
something translated she is one of our first stops.
Brittany Gray, 5th and 6th grade teacher at
the School of Promise. She is from Colorado and has been in Thailand for around
three years. The oldest of the English teachers, and the only one of the three
originals without a teaching degree. She is going back to America
at the end of the school year and getting one though; she feels called to
teach.
Lucy Cowpland, teachers assistant, from Dundee in Sctoland. She's going back in June to go to University and study International Relations among other things.

Amber Konz, one of my roomates and a graphic artist. Her and her sister are volunteering at the school until June.
