We’re sitting in Sojo’s, drawing, writing and
messing about on the internet. ‘We’ is me, Brittany and my two new roommates.
Okay, okay, I’ll back up a bit.
We’ve been looking for a house for these two
new roommates and me for a few months in anticipation of their coming. The
final choice was made last week, the lease signed on Wednesday and they arrived
and we moved in on Friday. ‘They’ are Amber and Mackenzie, two sisters from
Nebraska who are working at the school for the next six months; they’re going
to be doing a lot of graphic design stuff which largely floats over my head
when they discuss it.

We’ve settled in, cooked some meals together
and had an adventure to find internet (There isn’t any set up at the house
yet). They’ve also had their own adventures, both being quite eager to explore
and get to know the neighbourhood; they’ve already arranged some Thai-English
exchange lessons and gotten an invite to the mountains from one of our
neighbours!
I’m finding them incredibly interesting and
friendly, and if they’re to be believed they (So far) are finding the same of
me. So, here’s hoping that continues!
